Transportation Management
Overview
In the rugged frontier of Red Dead RP, proper horse and carriage management is essential for survival, travel, trade, and style. Every rider is responsible for the well-being and upkeep of their animals and transport.
1. Ownership & Registration
All horses and carriages must be registered through the local stable or town registry. Ownership papers protect against theft and help verify rightful claims.
2. Care & Feeding
Horses require regular feeding (hay, apples, or grain), grooming, and rest. Neglect can lead to poor performance, injury, or even death. Stables offer full care services for a fee.

3. Carriage Usage
Carriages are used for transporting goods, passengers, or as mobile shops. Players must secure their wagons when parked to avoid theft or spooking. Overloading may cause breakdowns or slower travel.
4. Theft & Recovery
Stolen horses or carriages can be reported to local lawmen. If recovered, they may require repair or medical attention. Branding your horse helps in quick identification.
5. Roleplay Etiquette
Respect other riders’ space. Do not cut off wagons, spook horses with reckless gunfire, or block stable exits. Always roleplay the logistics of horse fatigue and maintenance.
