Scam & Robbery Rules
GTA Universe Scam and Robbery Rules
1. Scam Rules
1.1 General Guidelines for Scams
1.1.1 Roleplay Context: All scams must occur within a clear roleplay context. Scams should enhance the narrative and be part of a character’s development, not just for personal gain.
1.1.2 Realistic Scams: Scams must be realistic and believable within the game world. Overly complex or unrealistic scams that break immersion are prohibited.
1.1.3 Player Consent: While not required, it is encouraged to seek OOC consent for scams involving large sums or significant impact. While we understand as role-players that this is rarely going to go well, it is also a good practice to share your scheme with Management (Banjo, Crusaya, or Blink) and have them weigh the scenario and give their opinions.
1.2 Limits on Scams
1.2.1 Maximum Loss Limit: The maximum amount of in-game currency or value that can be scammed in a single transaction is $150,000.
1.2.2 Frequency Limit: A player can conduct a scam involving significant amounts ($10,000 or more) no more than once per week to prevent habitual scamming behavior.
It is YOUR responsibility to track the time difference between each robbery. If you are found to be even 1 minute within the authorized cooldown, then you are subject to punishment regardless of excuse or reason.
ANY player knowingly involved in a scam will be included in this cool down. I.E., if 3 people orchestrate a scam, they all will be subject to the 1 week cool down. As a reminder, we have AI based logs that can connect the dots of even the most elaborate schemes -- Do not FAFO as this will result in loss of assets 3X the amount of the scam and a 2 day Ban.
1.2.3 New Player Protection: Scams targeting new players (those with less than 10 hours of playtime or within their first week) are prohibited. While you may scam a new player unknowningly, if you are investigated and the logs show a pattern, you will be punished whether you were aware.
While not required, it is allowed for players to confirm player hours of the player that they are robbing. We will soon add features to check a players total In-game hours via command /checkhours ID
1.3 Prohibited Scam Types
NOTE: This DOES NOT include ANY illegal items or weapons (Legal or Illegal Weapons)
1.3.1 No OOC Manipulation: Scams must not involve out-of-character manipulation, deceit, or metagaming.
1.3.2 Permanent Loss Approval: Scams must not result in the permanent loss of irreplaceable items or character assets unless approved by Management.
The approval of such scams will require an Indepth explanation showcasing extreme depth and reasoning for the request.
1.3.3 Avoiding Exploits: Using game mechanics exploits or bugs to facilitate scams is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.
1.3.4 Properties: You may not scam for any form of properties unless authorized/approved by the administration. This includes vehicles.
1.4 Reporting and Resolution
1.4.1 Reporting Scams: Players who believe they have been unfairly scammed should report the incident to staff with evidence such as screenshots or chat logs if they have access to them. Please file such reports on the forums for articulate record keeping.
1.4.2 Investigation and Restitution: Staff will investigate reported scams and may return lost items or currency if the scam is found to violate server rules.

2.4.2 No Excessive Violence: While violence can be part of a robbery, avoid excessive or gratuitous violence that does not contribute to the roleplay narrative.
2.4.3 Hostage Situations: Hostage scenarios must be realistic and involve detailed roleplay. Taking a hostage may result in extended prison sentences if caught.
2.5 Reporting and Resolution
