Police Canine (K9)

A police dog, also known as a K-9, is trained to assist officers by locating fleeing suspects, gathering evidence, protecting officers and civilians, and managing crime scenes. They also help in finding missing persons and detecting explosives and drugs. These dogs may be involved in various tasks.

To interact with your pet dog, follow these steps: first, make your way over to the dog kennel where your pet resides. Once you're there, press and hold the "Alt" key on your keyboard. While continuing to hold the "Alt" key, locate and select the option labeled "Take out K9." This action will prompt your dog to come over to you.

If no dogs appear in the list, create one and name it. A new dog will be added to the list, and then, you can take it out of the kennel.

Once a dog is spawned, their stats will appear here. You can see if they're hungry or thirsty, and how well they run, sniff, or attack.

Once a dog is spawned, you can press k to see all the actions possible. They can sit, lay down, search a person, search a vehicle, search an area, go to a specific point, or get into a vehicle.

Searching

Making a dog search for drugs is easy, you select the appropriate option (car, person, area) and they will perform the search. A prompt will appear if they found a scent, or not. If they have, the dog will bark to let you know. A pop-up will also appear if there are any guns or drugs found.

Dog items

Check the K9 item shop from the kennel to see about getting your dog water, food, and other things. To use these, hold alt, look at your dog, and select "Check dog." There, you will see your options based on what items you hold in your inventory.

Returning the dog

Once your shift is finished, go back to the kennel, hold alt, and select return K9.
